Joy In Rivers APC As Amaechi Endorses Billionaire Tonye Cole For Governor

Billionaire and oil mogul Tonye Dele Cole popularly called 'TDC' has been adopted by Rivers APC led by the Honourable Minister for transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi yesterday at a mainstream Rivers APC meeting in Lagos on the 30th August 2018.

A​​​​​​​maechi picked Tonye Cole ahead of aspirants like Dr Dakuku Peterside, Diector General NIMASA, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs, Dr Beks Dagogo-Jack, Director of Operations NPA, Hon Sekonte Davies, Hon. Dawari George and Sen Magnus Abe.

Massmediablog reports that those in attendance at the meeting include, Dr Dakuku Peterside, Senator Andrew Uchendu, newly defected Senator Osinakachukwu Idoazor, Prince Tonye Princewill, Henry Ogiri, Azubuike Wanjoku amongst others.

Tonye Cole is the co-founder of Sahara Energy. He serves as board member for Atlas Mara, Bloomberg TV Africa, Enectus Nigeria, Nigerian Chamber of Shipping and Digital Jewels. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Partnership Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) and also the Private Sector Advisory Group of the United Nations Sustainable Development Fund(UN SDG-F). He won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the United kingdom Oil and Gas Council in  2017.

It will be recalled the Tonye Cole is the son of the former Politician and for MD of daily Times and former ambassador Patrick Dele Cole.
